Firebox Spice Co – A Flavorful Journey
Founded in 2022 and based in St. Louis, MO, Firebox Spice Company specializes in expertly crafted rubs and spices, including Rib Rub, Chicken Rub, and Brisket Rub. The company’s inception traces back to a poker night at Steph and Kurt’s house, where Kurt’s smoked brisket impressed Tanner so much that he suggested turning the rub into a business.
After balancing family, careers, and life events, Tanner and Kurt finally launched Firebox Spice Co in July 2022, starting with three essential rubs. The initial products have been met with great success, and the company looks forward to expanding its portfolio and entering the retail market.
Kurt Sliefert, Co-Founder and Head Chef, is a 20-year industry veteran passionate about crafting custom spices, rubs, and sauces.
Tanner Hobin, Co-Founder and Head of Growth, is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in e-commerce and digital marketing and a home chef who loves grilling.
They combine their expertise to bring exceptional flavors to home chefs nationwide.
